Trend Report SS2018: Get Sporty

Let’s just hope this trend never gets out of fashion. ‘Cause do we ever really (want to) wear anything else besides trainers and hoodies? Luckily for SS2018 it’s still allowed to release the Sporty Spice within. Although that sporty style did get some updates too. Being a good sport when it comes to this trend means dressing both practically as well as feminine. So it’s all about tight bodies with high zippers and tulle skirts (Dior), tight leggings and cropped jackets (Tommy Hilfiger), loose fitting yet off shoulder zipped up jackets (Lacoste), hot pants and running jackets (Isabel Marant) and highly accessorized sporty suits (Gucci). And let’s not forget the suncaps, the beanies, the cross body bags and the gloves. Ready for a good game of extreme sports while showing of your best body parts. Fast fashion never looked this good.

Trend Report SS2018: Eighties by day

Another eighties revival in fashion means shoulders once again are the focus point in many summer silhouettes. If it’s up to Gucci, Saint Laurent and Off White big, rounded shoulders are a ‘thing’ again. Preferably combined with something leg revealing (Saint Laurent, Isabel Marant) or high waisted and high heeled (Y project, Off white). An eighties color(black) palette of mint greens and purples is in order as well. Now let’s see if you still got those eighties dance moves to match!

Summer Catwalk Trend 2017: Summer Scarf (part 3)

Every year we gather the best summer scarves and combine them in one high season inspiration gallery. This year’s no exception. From Cavalli’s seventies themed collection to Gucci’s dress up celebration, we’ve yet again found some interesting scarf styles. Long and skinny at Cavalli, retro styled at Gucci, classic and tight around the neck at Michael Kors, bright and colorful at Anna Sui. The summer scarf is an accessory for everybody. Tied around your neck, tied in a bow, tied as a headband, around the wrist, attached to your designer bag, tied around your waist; no piece of fabric as versatile as this one. We love wearing a beautifully colored and printed (leopard or floral prints) scarf as a headband. It has summer written all over and is – together with a good pair of sunnies and some statement earrings – part of the ultimate summer attire. What is your favorite type of scarf and how would you rock it this summer and into fall? Do click through our gallery for an update on the latest styles.

Pink walls, pink plates, pink velvet couches, pink cars, pink skies, pink hair, pink outfits. Slowly but surely we’re turning everything around us in one giant pink bubble. And really, who wouldn’t love a daily dose of pink? The guys and girls we spotted this summer, during Amsterdam Fashion Week and the menswear shows in Paris sure knew how to pull off the color du moment. Some wore just a touch of faded pink, others went all out with vibrant magenta hues from head to toe. And that girl with the leopard printed pink hair was just everything and perfectly symbolizes what this summer trend stands for. Pink for president. #pinklife

It’s officially Summer in the City! Short skirts, off shoulders tops, leather sandals and the sunniest sunnies are all you need this week. And when it comes to the latter, there’s lots of options to choose from. From teeny tiny to XL deluxe. And while every Instagram queen seems to be rocking a pair of white colored eye cat sunnies we spotted a different trend out on the streets. That of the colored glasses. Yellow, orange or red, let’s give the world a touch of color and make the city look even sunnier than it already is. Are you wearing your vintage Ray Bans, your floral encrusted Dolce & Gabbanas or perhaps a brand new sparkly pair of Gucci sunglasses? Sun’s out, sunnies out! Have a good one!

NYFW is a wrap and what a week it was. From Kanye’s opening show to Marc Jacobs closing we’ve been presented with an inspiring fresh fashion season. Current styles have been further explored as revolutionary new ideas made their way onto the NYC runway. See now buy now was the overall theme as clothes straight from the catwalk immediately went on sale. Some of the crisp trends even already experienced their streetstyle moment. We’re talking cinched waists, cut out shoulders, foldover skirts and summer-y pinstripes looking splendid on some of today’s streetwear stars. Next summer you can even leave the house in robe-like coats or dressed bikini tops. And of course spring is the time for florals and ruffles. Ultimate wardrobe classics like the white shirt and the kaki trench coat are being deconstructed and updated in tons of ways. Yellow will be the main color for summer. Cut-outs are cool and a sweater with an image of Elvies on it is even cooler. Oh and did you notice the focus on the sleeves has now led to sleeves getting their own slit? To sum things up before we jump ahead to London Fashion Week here’s a fingerlicking first trend selection for spring/summer. Items you want to get your hands on right after you’ve clicked through our gallery.

Personal style is all about what you love to wear. But if you’re looking to join in on some accessories trend, this blog post is a must read for you. We selected this season’s it accessories that will give your outfit a showstopping twist in the blink of an eye. Like a large pair of sunglasses decorated with pearls. Or that good old denim jeans given a Disney patch twist. Not too mention a waist belt, preferably with you name on it (like Anna wore). And of course there is the oversized emoji tee, the bomber jacket covered in patches and that highly decorated oversize Supreme jacket. Phone covers in odd shapes and sizes always do the trick (XL red lips anybody?). Why not wear Cinderella’s mice embroidered on you cute little handbag? Bandana’s around your neck (or around his head). Furry backpacks and pom poms all over. Perhaps you can even share some words of wisdom on your favorite waistcoat while you’re at it. Anything out of the ordinary will give you a head spinning streetstyle look. And for this summer patches, embroideries and written words are the key trend ingredients. Give it a go and express yourself and your style in every way possible. The summer is yours!
