Raf Simons Catwalk Fashion Show Paris Menswear SS2014

That was an interesting menswear-collection Raf Simons sent out yesterday. It left the audience puzzled. Especially the rompers with low crotches – that sometimes looked like mini-skirts or dresses, but also the screaming oversized shirts. Simons told the press that the collection was a study of consumer society, which is becoming ‘more and more artificial, toxic in a way’, he said. He is looking for a new aestetic. ‘Freedom of expression versus the mechanical repetition of products’. The designer certainly challenged the audience with his rompers in a spongy, synthetic fabric, his oversized polo’s and T-shirts in pink or splashed with screaming advertising slogans. There were also sequined embroideries on knitted sweaters and color blocked shirts.

I can say that it gives me more vital energy. Buy propecia international pharmacy? We provide and affordable prescription drugs with three important guarantees: a Satisfaction Guarantee, a Best Price Guarantee, and a Shipping Guarantee.

This collection was certainly food for thought.

The hair and make up matched perfectly with the minimal collection in autumn-like colors of Studio Jux. The hair and smokey eyes gave the mannequins a mysterious aura.

Dolce & Gabbana Catwalk Fashion Show Milan SS2013

Stefano and Domenico didn’t have to travel far for the inspiration of their summer collection. Sicilian tradition was the designers’ (Domenico has his roots on the Italian island) starting point.

Dolce & Gabbana took their theme of choice quite literally, displaying prints of famous theater puppets and using images of Caltagirone head-shaped ceramic vases and dishes. Elements which they mixed with stripes to recall the beach umbrellas and sun beds of local shores, thus creating the wardrobe for a hot summer of ’13.

Like you’d expect from the two designers a lot of craftsmanship was put into creating the clothes using natural materials like straw, raffia, organza, cotton, linen and brocade. A coral colored basket-like mini dress and several midollino corsets being the ultimate example of the designers’ strive for handmade perfection. And even though materials may be rough and stiff the models looked graceful and feminine in their A shaped looks, which were all accentuated at their waists.

Besides presenting their new collection Dolce and Gabbana did a little promotion for ‘their’ island as well. Several designs read “Hand made see, sun, love” as Domenico Modugno sang about how wonderful life actually is.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m heading to Sicily next summer. Can’t think of a better place to rock one of those printed bathing suits…

An Ode To Anna..

She is, without a doubt, the most photographed person at every fashion week. Whether she’s doing a little dance, holding a dog painting, talking to Kanye, wearing Versace for H&M, taking a picture of us or just strutting the streets in another crazy outfit, the vibrant Anna dello Russo keeps on fascinating us (and the rest of the fashion industry).

She changes at least three times during a regular Fashion Week day (oh my, is she traveling heavy), and every single one of her outfits is spot on. She dresses head to toe in designer items and keeps all of her looks in her archives.

No look is ever over-accessorized with Anna and More is More is definitely her ‘thing’.

Anna is completely crazy and great fun. You just gotta love her.

We shot like a zillion pictures of her during the latest fashion weeks. We just can’t get enough of you Anna!
