The Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti-show had the familiar boy-girl thing, but looked also very romantic and almost Victorian with the long dresses, high collars and black lace over white. Fragile dresses with high, white collars were mixed with polished, tailored officer’s coats in wools and thick leathers
Luckily it became a little bit edgy with black lace-up knee boots. It just needed that.

Hey, we’re not finished yet. There are still a loooot of goodiebags to be rated, for us the season’s just started. The Amsterdam Fashion Week was a good warming up, though. This time we examined the goodiebag we received at the Jackie Best Dressed Award 2010.

Jackie’s Best Dressed Award
The sad news about Alexander McQueens death overshadowed the good news that Leontine Borsato won the Jackie Best Dressed Award 2010.
On the eve of 10 February many well-dressed women gathered at the Grand hotel in Amsterdam for this special event. As all magazines have their own award show nowadays, (fashion) magazine Jackie presented her Best Dressed Award.
Jackie formed a jury of four people, including stylist: Bastiaan van Schaik, stylist of the stars: Danie Bles, fashion director from Jackie: Renu Kashyap and the Best Dressed lady of last year: Sylvie van der Vaart.
This jury came up with a list of 25 well dressed Dutch ladies. Only the women in the top 5 of that list were in the running to become Jackie’s Best Dressed. Four of them attended the show, yet only one could win…
Leontine Borsato was chosen as the number one on Jackie’s Best Dressed List. She described her style as diverse and told us she likes to mix and match.
The comments of the jury were: ‘Whether Leontine is dropping of her kids at school or is attending a big premiere, she always looks stunning. She can work many different looks and styles’.
Of course some credits had to go to Leontine’s stylist Danie Bles wo dresses her for every big event.
Ruud van der Peijl: winner Streetheart Awards Team Peter Stigter

Stylist, photographer and fashion-icon Ruud van der Peijl won the first Streetheart-award of Team Peter Stigter. Daryl van Wouw had the honor to hand over the award.
Ruud van der Peijl got the most streethearts for the outfit he wore at the first day of the Amsterdam Fashion Week. All visitors at the Fashion Week were invited to stick their vote/hart at their favorite outfits, which were nailed at a large wall in the fashion-lounge.
With the Streetheart-award Team Peter Stigter and the Amsterdam Fashion Week want to stimulate all visitors to dress themselves at their best: fashionable, creative, stylish.
Frontrow Day five – Amsterdam Fashion Week
At the last day of the Amsterdam Fashion Week the frontrows were filled with a mix of designers, celebs, editors and society-people. We spotted a.o. designers Monique van Heist, Jan Taminiau and Mart Visser, writer/artist Jan Cremer and former Olympic swimmer Inge de Bruin. Fashion seems more and more alive and kicking!

*We would really love to give the goodiebag a 9, yet while we didn’t receive one we changed it into a 6.We were dissapointed about the fact that not everyone at the show received a goodiebag. All first two rows got one, except us, sitting in section C. Did they ran out of goodiebags, did some people steal them before the show started or do journalists just don’t get one?
