Expectations were high at the opening-soiree of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. Everybody was looking forward to the two shows of Jan Taminiau, Demi Couture and Haute Couture. We spotted Cecile Narinx of ELLE, Richard Kraijchek and Daphne Deckers and even James Veenhoff was shining in his tuxedo. Front row we pictured Hilmar Mulder of Grazia, Stacey Rookhuizen dressed in Jan Taminiau, models Dewi Driegen and Lonneke Engel and thank God Bastiaan van Schaik survived his scooter-accident.

The Dutch Fashion Awards 2010 was a true celebration of fashion. Fashionpro’s from media and industry gathered in the Grote Kerk in The Hague to watch Iris van Herpen win three (yes, THREE) awards and Bas Kosters one. The two most creative and innovative designers of the Netherlands were honoured for their hard work.

We spotted a.o. designers Monique van Heist, Jan Taminiau and Mart Visser, writer/artist Jan Cremer and former Olympic swimmer Inge de Bruin. Fashion seems more and more alive and kicking!
Kids Frontrow – Amsterdam Fashion Week

All those busy mothers/fashion-pro’s, they take their job serious. They work, no matter what, even during the weekend. And no nanny’s or babysitters, they just take their kids to the shows. And so tomorrow’s fashionpro’s are born. Or paparazzi, there was this cute little girl who took pictures from every vip sitting frontrow at the show of Supertrash.
Frontrow Day three – Amsterdam Fashion Week
Supertrash knows how to get attention: inviting lots of vips, and creating a buzz who’s coming or not. Well, we noticed many Dutchies found their way to the show, although a few left angry because of the way they were treated. Maybe they were not happy with their seats, or they didn’t receive that much wanted goodiebag?
Anyway we spotted a.o. Bridget Maasland, minister Cramer, soccer-player Edgar Davids, Lieke van Lexmond, model Yfke Sturm and as special guest Alexandra Richards – daughter of Rollings Stones-member Keith Richards.
