Model Focus: Rianne Van Rompaey

She exclusively walked the Prada and Louis Vuitton AWshows. Well, what more could a fresh faced model ask for? Rianne Van Rompaey aimed high, dared to be selective and is now taking the fashion world by storm. She may not have walked that many runways, but judging by her publications and campaigns the 19 year old Dutchie doesn’t even need that. Rianne graced the covers of iD magazine, Rika magazine and Vogue Italia. She was featured in British Vogue, Industrie magazine and Love magazine, to name just a few. Her strawberry blond hair and green penetrating eyes make this upcoming Paparazzi Model Management talent easy to remember and hard to forget.

The 19th edition of Amsterdam Fashion Week will kick off coming week-end with Amsterdam Fashion Weekend and THE summerparty to be: Celebrate. These fashion-crazy days are filled with pop-up catwalkshows, a fashion-bazaar and all kinds of fashion-related activities in the Fashion- and Museum-quarter of Amsterdam. This event will be followed by five days of catwalkshows and Team Peter Stigter is warming up to bring you the best pictures and reviews of this event. You want to join the crowd? This is your chance: for the first time exclusive entry-tickets for the shows will be for sale.

I start my day with a capsule and would recommend these to anyone. Honest results, fast. Cialis online? Erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment can be effective.

From july 12th until 16th the AFW will build its venue in the Westerpark and transform the enormous Gashouder into a fashion-theatre where young talents and well known designers will show their spring summer 2014 collections. Supertrash will unveil their first collection for children – ST Girls – and menswear-designer Francisco van Benthum will make his return to the catwalk.
Of course more familiar names will be there too like Marga Weimans, Tony Cohen, SIS by Spijkers en Spijkers and Claes Iversen. And everybody is looking forward to the closing-show: Lichting 2013, with the most talented fashion-graduates of this year.

The Frontrow Club
For the first time non-professional fashionlovers can attend a fashion-show. AFW has a limited amount of tickets for shows held at july 13, 14, 15 and 16. They will be sold online for a reduced price and are exclusively for members of The Frontrow Club. This club is an online community related to AFW and everybody can join the club, the membership is for free. And with the membership comes all kinds of privileges.
More than 3000 people already joined the club and they can experience live what a fashion-show is like (meet all the editors of Vogue, Elle and Glamour, see the photographers in action, watch the celebs frontrow) . A tickets means a seat near the big catwalk in the Gashouder where they can watch the show of Tony Cohen or a seat in the more intimate space of the Transformatorhuis to see the new collection of Cold Method.
For most shows there availability is limited, but for the show of 2LOVETONYCOHEN at Sunday july 14th the availability of tickets is much bigger. The special Frontrow Club -fee per ticket is 35 euro, and there’s a five euro discount for visitors who buy two tickets for different shows held the same day. And you can experience a lot of fashion for that price!

All information about different events during Amsterdam Fashion Week you will find at the official  site of AFW

Take a good look around at any international fashion week and you’ll see the Dutch are everywhere. There’s not a show without Dutch models walking in it. Also, no collection presentation is complete without some Dutch editors in the audience. To top it off more and more Dutch bloggers are going abroad to attend shows and to be captured by the growing number of streetstyle photogs.

We had a blast shooting all the ‘Dutchies’ in the streets of Milan, Paris and New York. Especially the bloggers were a joy to look at and immediately became the main target of the fashion paparazzi.

In the gallery below you can take a look at the trendy editors, bloggers and models from the Netherlands. You’ll spot our top models Saskia de Brauw and Daphne Groeneveld. You’ll see the editors from ELLE, Glamour, NRC and Het Parool. Plus, you can check the looks of bloggers Linda & Niels, Sabrina and Yara.

Backdrop of Viktor & Rolf made by fashion illustrator Piet Paris

October 3, 2010 by

For the spring/summer fashion show of Viktor & Rolf fashion illustrator Piet Paris created a wonderful backdrop. The colorful and fashionable illustration looked fantastic and everyone really seemed to love it.

Viktor & Rolf approached Piet Paris, who was their teacher in art school before, for this project, because they love his work. They gave him a short briefing and let Piet Paris fill in the rest of the picture.

So far Piet Paris has worked for big international clients like Vogue, Harpers Bazar, W Magazine and Saks Fifth Avenue. And we think it’s absolutely great that he and Viktor & Rolf worked together on this. It once again proves how much talent we have in the Netherlands.

On 14 October Piet Paris will launch his own book, which will cover his best illustrations from the past twenty years. On that same day he will present a stamp he designed. Backstage at Viktor & Rolf Piet Paris said: ‘I started this year by designing my own small stamp and it’s funny that it seems like it ends with an enormous backdrop of 18 by 6 meters.’
