Halston Returns (Catwalk Show)
The it-label of the seventies, Halston, is back again. And the relaunch in New York was THE event not to miss. Filmproducer Harvey Weinstein is behind the project, together with Tamara Mellon (president and founder of Jimmy Choo) and celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe. Creative director is Marco Zanini (a former Versace-designer) and he really did a good job. He reworked Halstons signature style like shirtdresses, boot cut pants and long, flowing skirts. All in his famous shades of grey, red, yellow and pastels.
Thakoon Catwalk Show
Thakoon Panichgul wanted to mix punk with elegance as in tailored Mao-jackets, graffiti-prints, tartans and zipper-trimmings. But his soft floral coats and thirties style dresses were stronger and stood out from the rest. Power to elegance!
Y-3 Catwalk Show
With a large wall of ice as a backdrop Y-3 sent out a strong collection where functionality met elegance, like baggy suits in big tartans and draped layers of Chanel tweed jackets. The first flagshipstore will open february the 5th in the Meatpacking District in New York.
Team Peter Stigter hits the Big Apple
A part of our fashionteam crossed the ocean to cover the New York Fashionweek: photographer Peter Stigter and photo-editor Lisa Klappe. They will keep you posted!

Bibi van der Velden Catwalk Show
Bibi vd Velden – Show (it) girls!
Jewelry-designer Bibi van der Velden found a great way to show her vintage-style jewelry. The set and styling were inspired by Marlene Dietrich and old school cabaret and that seemed a great and glamourous way to show her work.
Sacha Golden Heel Award
Preceding the Fashion Institute Arnhem show the winner of the Sache Golden Heel Award was announced. Sacha and the FIA teamed up to write out a show design competition. The winner of the Golden Heel Award is Julia Eichler with her shoe “Anita”.

AMFI Individuals Catwalk Show
Individuals – Take it easy
Soft colours. Bulky knitwear. Easy pieces. And a focus at long dresses, long coats and wide trousers. They know how to design clothes at the AMFI but we missed a little firework, though. Sorry guys!
Maartje Dijkstra Catwalk Show
Maartje Dijkstra – Future Knights
We loved the black & white drawings on shirts! The girls looked like future knights in their helmets, shiny clothes and jackets which sometimes reminded us of bulletproof vests and corsets.
