MBFWA Fall 2016, Downtown Fashion Behind the Scenes

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam has officially started with the downtown-program. Ten days of fashion-events downtown Amsterdam. This weekend it was all about taking a look backstage at the show of JUtka&Riska plus a workshop Walking the Runway by catwalkcoach Dyonne. The Elite Model Look scouting team was also there to spot future talents.
Next thursday the Uptown Show-program will kick off.

Fashionclash festival 2015, this was Day 3

Fashionclash Festival 2015 has come to an end. Last night the festival closed with an impressive Graduationshow of Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts (MAFAD), performances and a ceremony in which three designers were honoured with prizes sponsored by magazines Chapeau and Kaltblut and Fashionclash. Winner of the Fashionclash Festival Talent Award is the label LAT designed by Lautaro Amaeo Tambutto, winner of the Kaltblut magazine award is Patrick de Padua and Chapeau honored MAFAD-student Paula Reichert with their talent award.

Fashionclash Festival 2015 in Maastricht has kicked off last night. The theme is Gender, and guest speaker Aynouk Tan transalted the theme in an interesting conversation. The first night was about the Clash Project premiere, Verweven a performance by Nina Willems and a preview of the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts. Other participants: Lotte Milder, Simeon Morris, Yojiro Kake, Ines Duvale, Linda Friesen, Judith van Vliet & Chris van den Elzen, Barbora Procházková.

Graduation-show ARTEZ 2015

It’s time for Graduation-shows again. The fashion department of Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem (ArtEZ) kicked off with a big show, followed later this week by Rietveld Academy. This year 21 students graduated at the Academy in Arnhem, and they presented their collection in the Cityhall of Arnhem. Among them are five graduates which are nominated for the Frans Molenaarprijs 2015: Lilian Admiraal, Josephine Goverts, Max Zara Sterck, Tung Trinh en Maartje Janse. Two other students will represent ArtEZ during Lichting 2015 supported by V&D, Isabelle Tellié and Yvette Peek.

All graduates will show their collections in an exhibition about ArtEZ Finals 2015 in Arnhem from july 1st until 5th. The address: the former bankbuilding of ABN Amro at Gele Rijdersplein in Arnhem.

The two-day denim festival Blueprint 2015 is a fact. For the second time we enjoyed the best denim brands, seminars, expos, vintage treasure hunting, music, food & drinks.

This morning Amsterdam Denim Days kicked off by presenting their programme for the coming edition.From april 13 – 18 Amsterdam will be the centre of attention for the second time for all those with an indigo heart. The programme has something for denim lovers of every kind, from brands and makers to wearers and speakers. From style-setting devotees on the street to the greatest innovators in the industry, together they create the ultimate blue.
There will be a public programme of six days in the city centre, with the festival Blueprint at Westergasfabriek as the ultimate closing act. And for the professionals there is the Kingpinshow and seminars on april 15 and 16. You will find all the details online at Amsterdam Denim Days
