Francisco van Benthum / Orson + Bodil Catwalk Show
There’s hope guys – Francisco van Benthum
There’s really hope for all those young men searching for great, modern clothes! Francisco van Benthum – for the first time showing under his own name instead of WOLF – presented a very mature yet cool menswear-collection inspired by Dutch fishermen and sailors. HOPE is the theme of his new autumn/winter ’08-’09 collection, and it seems this guy is ready for his international debut in Milan. Highlights: razorsharp suits. beautifully soft knitwear, airy coats and a great mix between sportswear and uniforms.
Celebration – Orson + Bodil
Alexander van Slobbe celebates 20 years in fashion this year. Not only with a book and exhibition but also with a beautiful wintercollection full of (reworked) classic Orson + Bodil designs. Simplicity reigns at van Slobbe and all outfits have that hint of luxury couture. Highlights: a black dress with nude-colored collar, full skirts and embroidered voile partydresses.

G-Star Catwalk Show
We really felt proud by seeing that great show of G-Star. Those guys know how to do it! The collection was as always: tough, modern and fast forward. We could see actor/artist Dennis Hopper enjoyed it too!

Halston Returns (Catwalk Show)
The it-label of the seventies, Halston, is back again. And the relaunch in New York was THE event not to miss. Filmproducer Harvey Weinstein is behind the project, together with Tamara Mellon (president and founder of Jimmy Choo) and celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe. Creative director is Marco Zanini (a former Versace-designer) and he really did a good job. He reworked Halstons signature style like shirtdresses, boot cut pants and long, flowing skirts. All in his famous shades of grey, red, yellow and pastels.
Y-3 Catwalk Show
With a large wall of ice as a backdrop Y-3 sent out a strong collection where functionality met elegance, like baggy suits in big tartans and draped layers of Chanel tweed jackets. The first flagshipstore will open february the 5th in the Meatpacking District in New York.
