The invitation of Etro, flower power glasses, made us smile. Being at their show is always a special treat, with good food and drinks. Did you know that all aspects of this fashionbrand are still family-owned and operated? Veronica Etro designs womenswear and Kean Etro handles menswear – and he’s still happy with that we noticed backstage.

Outside at Gucci: Michel Gaubert
Michel Gaubert (left) is a fashion player pur sang. You’ll hear his soundtracks everywhere during the fashionweeks, also at Gucci. He got obsessed with music when he was twelve and started to buy records. He told Hint magazine that he probably has more records than Karl Lagerfeld. ‘For once he can’t beat me. He can beat me in iPods, Chrome Hearts and Dior Homme but not in records”.
Models on tour
Are modelagency’s cutting costs for transport? Male models working in Milan during this fashionweek take their skateboard to move from one show to another. Peter Stigter spotted them outside Bottega Veneta. Maybe it’s just the easiest way in a city where public transport it not at its best.
Arnhem celebrates fashion
Since the opening of the Arnhem Modebiennale 2009 last friday princess Maxima finally deserves the title ‘fashion princess’. It was the first time she chose Dutch fashion – one of Jan Taminiau’s signature mailbag-jackets – for an official event. And we spotted even more enthousiastic fans of Dutch fashion, like Medy van der Laan dressed from head to toe in Viktor & Rolf NO-collection or the major of Arnhem in People of the Labyrinths. They made us feel proud! And please, go and see the exhibition in Arnhem. It’s beautiful, funny, fashionable, avantgarde and celebrates fashion in every part. The Biennale closes at july 6th 2009.
