Suptertrash is getting more and more popular in our little fashionminded country and also abroad. The label showed in a crowded venue with former supermodel Janice Dickinson as special guest sitting frontrow.  The collection was split into three themes, Animal Jungle, Blossom and Caleidoscope. The first was inspired by all imperfections of nature, animalprints and flowing lines, the second theme had a spring-connection – elegant, glamourous and a little naive – Caleidoscope was all about colors, tunics and kaftans. Very commercial, very feminine, and a lot of supertrashy fashion.

The ambitious denimlabel Blue Blood showed a very remarkabel collection fridaynight. Eccentric personalities and memorable friendships inspired the designers, and Blue Blood-owner Steve te Pas referred at movies like The Royal Tennenbaums and The Darjeeling Limited. Family-ties, different personal styles and the focus at detail, uniforms and old luxury in those movies were important elements. Old luxury was translated into ripped and washed baggy jeans en vintage suitcases. Sailors and the see were recognized in the many red and blue outfits, shirts with prints of knots, shorts and sneakers. Avelon, the designer-collection of Blue Blood designed by Erik Frenken – had a universe theme with prints of nature, lightning, stars and planets. Result: a colorful collection, with a-symmetrical legwear, feathers, tunics at slim pants, beautiful flowing dresses and jumpsuits.

Designer Miriam Flores launched her label Madé in 2005 and because of het clear vision and hard work her label grew at fast pace. The combination of Brazilian swing, the origins of the designer, and the Dutch down-to-earth attitude, her current home, makes for an ultra-feminine style with inspiring minimalism. In her collections, Miriam Flores takes Madé fans all over the world. For the summer of 2010, and for Madé’s first AIFW fashion show, Miriam went back to her Brazilian roots. The designer was born in Rio de Janeiro and therefore proudly carries the name ‘Carioca da Gema’. She still is a regular visitor of Ipanema, the hip jet set hang out of Rio and continues to be inspired by this famous neighborhood. She proposed a sophisticated, relaxed, unpretentious and uncomplicated look. Just like the people of Ipanema. And of course a natural sensuality, which has become a Madé trademark. The natural contrasts and many colors always unite in harmony.
