Catwalk Fashion Trend FW2020: Cape Town (part III)

It’s a typical fall trend that comes knocking every few seasons. The cape! And even though it doesnt really look like your average everyday fashion item, the cape is conquering grounds. Remember how designers introduced the cape for last year’s autumn? Quite diverse compared to this year actually. And do you still recall how the cape was worn on the streets back in 2016? We also set aside the cape for men as early as in 2012. So fact is; the cape is a keeper. For fw2020 Céline, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Offwhite gave us their best cape impressions. Very fairytalelike at Jacobs and quite tought at Miu Miu. Also, overall the cape was long and statement making. Has the cape sparked your interest? Pair it with some good denim jeans and knee high boots. You’ll no doubt look (cape) fearless!

Catwalk Trend Spring/Summer 2019: Banana & Limone

It’s the perfect spring color. It’s fresh, it’s sweet, it’s a sorbet combination of banana & limone on your Sicily holiday. We simply adore this Summer color. As do some of the bigger brands lik Chanel, Etro, Ferragamo and Marc Jacobs. Dress up head to toe in yellow as seen at Sies Marjan, Ferragamo and Etro in suits and trenches. Go seventies chic as seen at Alexa Chung. Or opt for a light yellow statement maker like that airy skirt we captured at Charlier or that ruffled up top Marc Jacobs sent out. See how goregous this shade works with army green, navy or burgundy or just keep it light and simple in the mix with some whites. Do you like it mellow?

Backstage Beauty Trend SS2019: Eyes on You

So here´s a little lesson on how to make that statement gaze of yours even more powerful. Heavy and black yet not all too dark was the eye make-up at Dries van Noten. Marc Jacobs opted for bright pink (to match the models colored hair) as Peter Pilotto chose powdery pink (that also matched the hair). Heavy, Twiggy style eye lashes at Courreges. Metallic mint gave the Missoni girls an extra dreamy look. As we spotted thick eyeliner (that really made the models eyes appear smaller) at Dior. The winner of the sharpest eyeliner contest goes to Rochas. Now all you gotta do is practice & play around at home and you´ll be able to work some of these make-up trends yourself soon enough. All eyes on you(r eyes)!

Catwalk & Streetwear Trend Spring/Summer 2019: Ready to Ruffle

Flounced, frilled or ruffled; we love it when designers make waves with their clothes. To add some femininity to a certain look. To create some extra volume (almost a 3D effect). Or to turn a design into more of a showstopper or statement maker. On the catwalk Marc Jacobs, Rodarte and Giambattista Valli showed you how it’s done. Out on the streets the ruffled numbers sure turned heads too. Just click through our gallery to get an idea. Off shoulder, high collar, cut-out, layered or maxi length; are you ready to ruffle?

Powder pink, baby blue, light yellow and mint green; it was a sorbet colored party backstage at the SS2019 shows. See how Kendall and her fellow models lined up in pastel shades at Alberta Ferretti. Discover how Emporio Armani beautifully mixed light green and baby pink. Be amazed by Marc Jacobs voluminous floral shaped and pastel colored dresses. See the pink at Stella McCartney, Balmain and Rochas, the Baby blue at Off-White and Jil Sander. Now your only dilemma is which of these ice cream flavors you’re going to choose this season? Soft colors for a super sharp SS2019 look!
