The times in which beach hair was cool, seem to be over. Your hair needs to be soaking wet. If you wanna follow this latest trend, that is.

Make it look short and sleek like the models’ hair at Gucci, Caroline Herrera and Kenzo. Or opt for messy like Rag & Bone and Bottega Veneta.

Throw some paint in your hair like Alexander Wang did with his girls or create the perfect (wet) bun. Whatever you do; put a lot of product in your  hair to make it look Wowing-Wet!

Beauty Trend SS2011: Right In The Middle

Going for a chique & sophisticated look? Than this middle parting is your new best friend. It also so happens to be one of the big hair trends for this summer.

Anna Sui, Blumarine, D&G, Stella McCartney, Valentino, Calvin Klein and many others gave their model a perfect middle parting. And while some of the girls wore their hair down, others combined the parting with a bun or ponytail (Blugirl, Costume, Hermes, Leonard).

This trend is great for women of all ages and can be worn tight as well as a little more loose. If you’re afraid the parting will get all messed up during the day, use some wax or hair spray to keep it in place.

Whether you’re a blonde, brown or redhead; this trend looks good with any kind of hair color. Check out our gallery below for some great examples.

If you thought floppy hats were the only hot headgear this season, you’re wrong. This summer you can put almost anything on top of your head and still look fashionable.

For example, take a look at the turbans Armani, Kenzo and Issa showed. Or check out the scarves Hermes and D&G demonstrated. And what about the Pucci headband, the Lacoste cap or the Missoni veil? We even saw some leather (Tommy Hilfiger), paper (Shimada) and plaited (Carolina Herrera) hats . And let’s not forget the beige-colored rags Michael Kors sent out on the runway.

There’s no limit to how mad your hat can get!

The third edition of Fashionclash Maastricht is a fact. This year the event presents more than 100 emerging talents from 11 countries. It’s three days of fashion in the broadest sense of the word. Presented in the raw industrial surroundings of the old Mosa factory, the first Dutch porcelain factory  known for working with talented designers.

Fashionclash creates a clash with fashion, a cultural and creative encounter of designers, disciplines and culture around the overarching theme – fashion. It’s also a unique platform for young and talented designers. They not only show their collections, there are also designers and photographers who present their work in  an exhibition.

The first day of Fashionclash Maastricht 2011 the stage was for the catwalk performance of Karel van Laere and the show of sixe German designers who presented themselves as Berlin Offer.

Van Laere’s catwalk performance reminded of reptiles crawling over the floor, the models dressed in shiny (cat)suits embroidered with small particles were dragged along the runway which gave it a siniter underworld character.

The show of Berlin Offer presented a variety of styles and inspirations. Strict and sober, fokloristic, modern hippies and paradisebirds – it was all part of an impressing show.

The opening-show at the third edition of Fashionclash Maastricht 2011 opened with a fashionprocession, to illustrate the relationship between the creativity of fashion and the religious background of Maastricht. The procession was followed by a collection of black & white folded and pleated garments made by the 2nd year-students of the academy if Fine Arts in Maastricht called Blast. The finale was called Rash and the collectiond seemed inspired by fantasy, science fiction and maybe a part Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz (?).

It surely made a remarkable fashion-moment.
