Fashionclash Festival 2015 in Maastricht has kicked off last night. The theme is Gender, and guest speaker Aynouk Tan transalted the theme in an interesting conversation. The first night was about the Clash Project premiere, Verweven a performance by Nina Willems and a preview of the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts. Other participants: Lotte Milder, Simeon Morris, Yojiro Kake, Ines Duvale, Linda Friesen, Judith van Vliet & Chris van den Elzen, Barbora Procházková.

The fifth edition of Fashionclash Maastricht took off yesterday. Of course with the usual clash of fashion and art. There were interesting contributions of designers like Tom van der Borght and AJ Mets plus a dramatic performance of Uta Bekaia & Ideal Glass NY.

The second day of Fashionclash Maastricht brought us three long, big shows with a large variety of designers and styles. Highlights were the collections of Annieszka Natasza Splewinska, Aleksandra Lalic, Glenda Lagomarsino and Ivana Pilja.

During the Fashionclash-event in Maastricht the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht (ABKM) also presents her graduation-show. This year, nine students presented their final collection. A few of them really stood out, like Janny Kloszynski, Anne-Katrin Bannier, Anna Liesnik and Eva Bellengé. Hopefully we will meet some of them again in the future.

Strike a Pose is a collaboration between Team Peter Stigter and Maasmechelen Village during Fashionclash Maastricht 2011. They give visitors the opportunity to be photographed by the Team. At the end of this fashion weekend a winner of The Fashionclash Pose will be selected by the Team, Maasmechelen Village and the Fashionclash Team. The winner receives a large print of his/her photo and a shopping voucher from Maasmechelen Village worth 500 euro.
The winning photo will be announced via the website of Maasmechelen Village, Fashionclash and Team Peter Stigter. During the Fashionclash-event you can check the taken pictures daily.

The third edition of Fashionclash Maastricht is a fact. This year the event presents more than 100 emerging talents from 11 countries. It’s three days of fashion in the broadest sense of the word. Presented in the raw industrial surroundings of the old Mosa factory, the first Dutch porcelain factory known for working with talented designers.
Fashionclash creates a clash with fashion, a cultural and creative encounter of designers, disciplines and culture around the overarching theme – fashion. It’s also a unique platform for young and talented designers.They not only show their collections, there are also designers and photographers who present their work in an exhibition.

Backstage at the first day of Fashionclash Maastricht 2011 the make-up and hair-team worked really hard to get the models ready for the opening of this yearly fashion-event. And the result was worth looking at. There was even time to have some fun.
