Just a normal Thursday, but why blend in when you can stand out? Use your imagination to create an extraordinary look. Go to work in a pink suit, attend class in a floor sweeping pleated mint green skirt or a bright yellow tea dress. Use frills, make waves, mix materials, show some skin, opt for color, play with volume, add accessories. Make your outfit extra interesting, even on a normal working day. Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons.

Streetwear Trend Fall Winter 2018: Hats Off!

A brick in your hat, a feather in your cap; as temperatures drop it´s about time to stack up on headpieces. Beanies and berets are still all the rage. But you might look mad as a hatter wear a flapper. A fisherman´s cap might be your cap.. err cup of tea. Or a flatcap might just make your outfit. Whatever piece of headwear you´ll be rocking this winter make sure you avoid the all-too-dressed-up look or you´ll be all hat and no cattle. Found a cool cap? Hats off to you. And now you can leave your hat on (cause you´re hair has probably fallen a bit flat anyway).

Trend Report FW2018: Leather Dress

Rigid, stiff, heavy, but very classy. The leather dress plays a leading part in the new season. And it comes in it’s heaviest, thickest form if it’s up to Tods, Givenchy, Loewe and Stella McCartney. Cognac, emerald, deep blue, coral red or midnight black; your options are endless. Wear your little black dress utility inspired with lots of pockets, pins, zippers and a leather belt. Not the most easy going, soft & cosy material, but statement making nonetheless and perfect for those days when it’s leather weather!

We’ve been talking seventies styles earlier this week. Remember the seventies inspired color palette and streetwear looks we selected? Well besides the color palette, the silhouette and the accessories (chunky boots, XL sunnies, waist belts) there’s another 70s ingredient you can not miss: it’s the prints and patterns that belong to that decade. And we couldn’t help but spot some of those retro prints backstage at the FW2018 fashion shows. Checks at Emporio Armani, Prada and Fendi. Heavy striped at Marni. And graphic patterns at Stella McCartney and Rochas. Statement, sometimes dazzling prints. All in a palette of warm autumn shades (and a touch of vibrant orange).

Who knew a good white boot could ever beet the biker boot trend we’ve been seeing for years. Well, that just happened. For the second fall season in a row white boots are all the rage. And though you might need a second to really get the look, they work with just about any autumn outfit. Velvet red pants, a fringed skirt, a lilac dress, bare legs and a short skirt, an oversized trench, a snake printed coat and lots of pink and ruffles. Seventies shades, bright colors or a pretty pastel party; the white boot blends in with any style. Pin heels or chunky heels, cowboy style, lace up or knife boot inspired; these white boots are made for walking.

Come rain come shine, the really turn any look into a showstopper. Sunny side up! The future is now.

Beauty Trend FW2018: Making Waves

If there’s one fall/winter hairstyle you simple have to try it’s waves. Not curls really, but subtle, smooth wavy hair. The perfect effortless way to make it look like you really did put a lot of effort into your hairstyle. Whether you’re going for a walk with your dog or getting ready for a night into town. Try a central parting as seen at Isabel Marant, opt for clumpy curls as Paco Rabone demonstrated or go for long, healthy waves like the models at Missoni. Whether you use an iron tool or let your natural curls dry, remember ‘effortless’ is key when it comes to this beauty trend.
