Dolce & Gabbana Catwalk Fashion Show Milan Womenswear SS2014

Dolce & Gabbana still don’t get enough of Sicilian culture. For their ss2014-collection they focused at the islands interaction with Greek culture in the ancient world. they used old photographs of ruined amphitheaters as prints. Ionic columns were reproduced as heels on shoes. The gold coins that exploded into chunky corset belts looked witty, especially when those belts gripped delicate dresses petaled with Sicily’s almond blossom. Sticking to their Italian craftsmanship the designers sent out a wide variation of it-looks for SS2014. Their graphic looks captured both the cropped top, the vivid prints, the over the knee skirts, the structured tops, the focus viagra canada on the waist as well as the shiny silk trend. And even though other designers might have picked up on those trends too, the collection still looked fresh and unique. The Marni-show was full of contradictions, yet designer Consuelo Castiglione managed to keep the overall vibe minimal, austere and restraint. A light catwalk, serene pale models and a collection mostly made in shades of white and silver. Cavalli’s angels seemed to have all walked out of the same silver shower, but still there were more than enough variations in the designer’s summer looks. Like sheer snake printed pants, airy reptile dresses, floor sweeping gowns, loose printed pants with matching jackets and XL caftans.
Also, this time the designer didn’t just stick to his signature animal print as a statement on his creations. He used about every possible technique for his selection of garments, often even mixing and matching those into one design.

For this season new creative designer Alessandra Facchinetti decided it was time for Tod’s to it’s own fashion show. An impressive event to let the brand tell it’s whole story, with not only stunning shoes but dapper outfits to go with those too. The main material of choice was leather though, which Facchinetti said she treated like cotton. This translated into leather dresses and jackets in new shapes and structures. Pleated, draped, tucked up, fringed and ruffled leather. Whole looks, but also details as well as large leather waist belts and bags to match the brand’s many variations of the moccasin. Though they still had a lot going on, outfits looked clean and sober in shades from white to old pink and from buy viagra from canada orange to burgundy. The skirt and oversized blouse ensemble that popped up in a slightly different every time was probably the most wanted (and wearable) look out of the bunch. A trip to Morocco inspired Pucci-designer Peter Dundas for his ss14 collection, which was a mix of athletic wear (scuba-diving, motor-racing, trekking, boxing and running), streetwear and exotic prints and African daywear like djellabas and sarouel pants.
But you have to have an extreme body confidence to wear some of those new Pucci-outfits. Dundas shaped black Neoprene into barely-there bustier tops as well as minimal minidresses worn under intricately beaded mesh tubes.
There were also tank tops and track pants embroidered in gold on black net, an allover beaded hoodie emblazoned with PUCCI and the buy viagra from canada year of its birth, 1947, and long dresses made from beaded basketball mesh.
The sporty element wasn’t only for show. Jil Sander Catwalk Fashion Show Milan Womenswear SS2014

Jil Sander started her show with mannish tailoring — a cropped, black jacket above belted white pants. In short order came elegant dresses, some demuring, some racy. There were coats and jackets in pale pink and yellow, some man-tailored in front with volume in back. Milan fires up full speed ahead with a number of collections that surprise us with a fresh breath of air and a new found sense of opportunism by taking the route towards modernity and digging deep into the opportunities that striding fabric technology is offering. Without betrayal of heritage, Milan tends to stick to its roots, we witnessed activism and experimentation in silhouettes that where alternately mesmerizing, odd and elegant.
Inspirations range from feminism, arts, folklore and techno crafts, subjects that granted these looks authentic freshness as well as a rich content.
No. 21’s tropical spring outfits, show layered street wear with ornate embroidered gauzes in an edgy arty-crafty spirit. The exceptional work of the couture fur ateliers of Fendi delivered a collection boosting with streamlined modernity inspired by the ‘light and lightness’. Careful bits and pieces of preciously crafted, exceptional materials are artfully clustered. At Just Cavalli one seemed to have bumped into London punks during an inspirational trip to Bhutan. Digital prints, animals spots and handkerchief patterns, all Cavalli icons, where mixed in an iconoclast mix.
