Fall/Winter Catwalk Trend 2017/2018: Pretty X-mas Sweaters

So it appears every Christmas party has an ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater dresscode’ these days. The ultimate excuse to go all out during your company’s X-mas drinks or that pre-X-mas dinner at your friends house. Decorated by lights, music and 3D red nose reindeer; it doesn’t get any more festive. Still, for those of you who still like to keep things classy, even when horrible dresscode apply, we’ve selected some extra sweaters. Warm, absolute Christmas proof, perhaps with a fun little twist here and there, oversized and sparkly, but always chic and sharp. So can you still be you and nobody has to argue whether your sweater is ugly enough or not. That’s just a matter of taste, right?! Have fun dressing up! Happy Holidays!

So you’ve got your outfit sorted, but how about everything else? The jewelry, the make-up, the hair? Au naturelle or bold beauty? For those in doubt we’ve selected some inspirational backstage beauty looks from the international FW2017 shows. So you can decide if you’re going with a statement eye (as seen at Alberta Ferretti – seriously, how could you not get lost in Gigi’s eyes?! – and Anna Sui) a bold lip (Dolce & Gabbana) or just a very natural, fresh but festive look (Altuzarra). Hair tied back or in a gorgeous little updo, chunky earrings and a little scarf to match. And you’re more than ready for any upcoming X-mas party, brunch or dinner. The holidays are coming and you’ll look stunning!

Winter wonderland! It has been snowing in Amsterdam, so we’ve taken out our winter gear. Steady boots, thick pants, the heaviest fur coats, chunky scarfs and fluffy headpieces to match. Inspired by the likes (and looks) of Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Emporio Armani and Dries van Noten we’re making sure that cold won’t hit us. So what coat is keeping you warm these days? Is it that cosy teddy, that extra long fur number or will rock a XL padded/puffer? Click through our gallery for some inspiration. Winter is here, better keep it hot!

Fall/Winter Streetstyle Trend 2017/2018: Destroyed Denim for Colder Days

Who says you can’t rock a good pair of destroyed denim when temperatures are dropping? ‘Cause you can! Just make sure to pair it up with something extra heavy and layered on top. The chunkiest turtle neck, the fluffiest coat, the thickest scarf and a bright colored beanie to top it off! Style tip: wear your denims extra loose with a pointy shoe for that careless attitude. Cross body bag to the mix, hair tucked in, hands in your pockets. This winter is going to be chilly but oh so cool.

Fall/Winter Streetstyle Trend 2017/2018: Business as usual

Looking business chic was never as diverse and interesting as it is now. As tweed, checks and grey suits are some of the most predominant trends out there picking out some flashy office attire was never this easy. So how will you be sitting behind your desk? Rocking a pair of hight waisted pleated pants perhaps? Or is a midi skirt with matching jacket more your ‘thing’? Are casual T-shirts (paired with the chicest skirt) allowed when meeting clients? Would a full on checked suit be appropriate for your conference call? Or is a perfectly cut tweed blazer enough to seal the deal? Which ever way you’re rocking the formal trend, with all the many style options we have this year, you’re Monday blues will be out of the window and your looks will be anything but business as usual.

Fall/Winter Streetstyle Trend 2017/2018: Patent Picture

Some trends disappear with the blink of an eye. Others tend to stick around a little longer. A perfect example of the latter, the patent leather look that was already big on the streets last year and apparently is ready for another winter season. Mini skirts, trench coats and high waisted pants, burgundy red, midnight blue or simply black; the patent leather look comes in many shapes and sizes. Street chic in the mix with some good old denim, a plain Tee and a fresh pair of Balenciaga inspired knife boots. A shiny trend with a lot of street cred.
