So we’ve talked plastic and see through fashion, now let’s talk of transparent and sheer shoes; another big trend! With mesh and plastic being the most used materials you really need to make sure you get that pedicure appointment done in time. From Alexander Wang and Balmain to Dior and Valentino proved next to nude shoes are a ‘thing’ for SS2018. The perfect detail to top off that mini skirt or downgrade that sexy dress. From sandals to pumps, to booties and boots; time to show off those perfectly colored toe nails. Or did you get cold feet?

A good skirt or dress can surely impresss, but this season the sex appeal of a good pair of shorts is getting some extra focus. Right-above-the-knee shorts as seen at Balmain and Chanel or ultra short like the ones we spotted at Chloé and Saint Laurent. Relaxing shorts (Alberta Ferretti), denim shorts (Coach), boyish shorts (Prada), sporty shorts (Louis Vuitton) and the absolute chicest shorts (Dries van Noten). With so many styles around, stating shorts aren’t your ‘thing’ is just not an option. From plain and comfy to luxurious and sparkly there’s a matching pair in store to match just about any clothing style. And let’s not forget the possibility it gives you to show of your stunner legs. Go shorty!

We’re diminishing our use of plastic anywhere else, but in fashion it’s more trending than ever. Plastic parts and complete transparency formed a big theme for SS2018. Some of the biggest names in the game like Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Burberry and Valentino threw their own little plastic party. Balmain is even taking the trend one step further as the brand’s FW2018 collection fully focuses on the material as well. From convenient raincoats to dresses, handbags and even see through boots; we’re loving the fact that plastic can look this fantastic. Shiny, futuristic, recyclable and even kind of sexy if you like.

It’s the ultimate in-between-seasons trend. When it’s still just a little too cold to rock your summer shoes, yet you’re so over your fall booties too. It’s about time to set up some stylish sock-in-shoe combinations. And Italian brands like Fendi, Gucci, Prada and Miu Miu show you just how it’s done. Ankle socks, knee socks or stay ups; they all suit this spring trend perfectly and will help you prevent getting cold feet ;-). Some suggestions: a pop of color (Prada, Burberry, Miu Miu), some argyle prints (Burberry), stripes (Fendi) or polka dots ( Gucci). Just have a little fun with it and don’t hold back. Let those statement socks try and beat your fanciest spring shoes in the battle of most jaw dropping / show stopping. Great shoes can take you great places but combined with a cool pair of socks you can conquer to world (or at least spring season 2018).

When it comes to sunnies you basically have two great style options this summer. You either go big & bold like Coach, Lanvin and Fendi. Or you go sharply shaped/cateye-ish like the ones we spotted at Acne, Prada, MSGM, Gurung, Rochas and Rykiel. Either way you’re bound to get tons of comments throughout the day. These sunglasses aren’t called statement makers for no reason! So it’s up to you to decide. Will you go dreamy and retro of fierce and futuristic? Whatever style you choose these glasses can make your #ootd and are sure to get you some extra likes on the gram. Sunny side up!

It’s been one of the biggest growing make-up trends and it’s here to stay (FW2018 is already further elaborating on this trend): metallics! And we don’t jus mean a shiny eye shadow we’re talking Kira Kira, bling bling! So this comes down to chunky, shiny beads, glitters and sequins on eyes (Undercover), cheeks (Jeremy Scott), lips (Dries van Noten) and hands (Scognamiglio). It’s like wearing a new piece of jewelry, on your face! So don’t hold back and live your metallic make-up moment to the fullest. Sparkle, shimmer and shine bright like a diamond!

Forget fisherman’s hats and flat caps, if your hat game is going to be anything this season it’s bold and out of the box! No rules, no restrictions; if you want to give this hat trend a good chance you go all out! So start vintage shopping and market strolling for the craziest, most ridiculous and extraordinary hat or head piece and rock it like your life’s depending on it. A big (Easter bunny) bow as seen at Delpozo perhaps? A funky cap in the brightest pink (see Area and Byblos)? A safari hat (Loewe) or the floppiest of all hats out there (Missoni)? A sporty sun cap (Fenty), an extra elegant braided hat (Comey) or a simple scarf tied around the head in the most classic way. Hats off to this trend for making dress up styles become (somewhat) everyday pieces.

Aloha! No matter the temperature; SS2018 is going to be exotic. Marc Jacobs went all out with kaftans and turbans in the most colorful and tropical prints. At Versace skirts and bikini tops were just as bright and poppy. Gucci sent out the ultimate Hawaiian inspired skirt suit (paired with glittery gloves and a pile of necklaces). As Dries van Noten created the chicest flora and fauna print mix. At Elie Saab we witnessed a complete line-up of palm tree inspired/printed dresses. And then Peter Pilotto and Delpozo joined in on the foreign fun. If this image gallery doesn’t get you in the mood for hot summer days and long summer nights, we don’t know what will. Be Palm Beach ready whatever beach you’ll be flaunting around on.

Whoever ditched her earrings for season after season (like we did) is now in for a treat. Time to change up the accessory game and stack up on some fresh ear pieces. Right, it’s not just rings or studs anymore. A good ear party requires some out of the box thinking. Who doesn’t want a pink horse (like Gigi at Maxwell) in her ears? Or why not go all out with the loveliest, asymmetrical flower pieces? Speaking of asymmetry, Missoni and Zimmerman painted a pretty one statement piece picture. We spotted life size pearls at Undercover as well as the chunkiest metallic hoops at Fenty. Chandelier inspired designs made their way onto the Dries van Noten and Etro runway. As Acne went for something quite arty. Lots of style options for a good game of ear accessorizing. And might you think this is all still a little too subtle? The combination of powerful eye make-up and a stunner ear game worked pretty well at Comey, Undercover, Marni and Antonio Marras. So. join in on the fun while it lasts and have a great ear party!
