Fall/Winter Catwalk Trend 2017/2018: Check Mate

If there’s one print to focus on this fall it’s checks. Preferably a subtle tweed version on pencil skirts, flared pants, cigarette pants, blazers, trench coats and woolen coats. Even tweed shoes, bags and berets have become true seasonal musthaves. Just go through your Instagram feed and you know what’s up. The biggest trendsetter in this British trend story would be Balenciaga (also the brand who instigated the current sock boot hype). Other players involved are Michael Kors, Stella McCartney and Calvin Klein, presenting their tweeds in black and white, 50 shades of gray or more of a brown palette.
