2010 has almost come to and end. But we won’t celebrate the new year until we’ve looked back on a fantastic year of fashion. We’ve collected the news on the most memorable collaborations, upcoming models and other fashion facts you must not forget.

We made a top of 40 items. Earlier we presented news facts 1 to 5 and here are facts 6 to 10:

6. Mad Men Mania

Who would have thought TV-series could be such a huge inspiration for fashion designers? Mad Men became a true hype in 2010 and inspired great designers like Marc Jacobs (for Louis Vuitton), Karl Lagerfeld (for Fendi) and Miuccia Prada (for Prada) to design super feminine fifties clothing again. Don’t we all love the comeback of the accentuated breasts and hips and the flared skirts?

7. Naomi Campbell 25 years in the business

Together with Dolce & Gabbana British topmodel Naomi Campbell celebrated her 25 years in the fashion business. She also opened up on Oprah on her drug-addiction, the men she dated and her diva-behavior.

8. Burberry’s hyper modern fashion shows

Where some fashion labels are still figuring out how to live stream their show, Burberry has been quite a few steps ahead. The British Fashion house has enabled it’s clientele to shop during it’s fashion show. By simply clicking on a piece of fashion coming down the runway people could immediately order the designs and received them within a few months.

9. Spijkers en Spijkers going strong

This year Dutch designerduo Spijkers en Spijkers launched their second clothing line SIS during the Amsterdam Fashion Week. It got a great response and we’re going to see it’s second collection within a few weeks. The two sisters also collaborated with optician Specsavers on their very own collection of fashionable glasses.

10. Yves Saint Laurent documentary

This year the documentary L’amour Fou was launched on designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge.
