Maxi dresses, maxi skirts; they’ve been around in fashion for a while now. But since fashion is always evolving even these maxi pieces are slowly changing. First it was all about the floral prints, then we only had eyes for the pleated skirts and now it’s all about showing some skin. Be fully on trend in a transparent maxi dress or a skirt with a high slit and don’t forget the hi-low trend, which is actually a mix of mini and maxi. Many of the streetstyle sensation in the gallery above master the art of revealing while keeping things classy. Other just look stylish, long and lean in their floor sweeping pieces. Unfortunately it’s not a very practical trend, but it sure makes a up for a beautiful image.

For the guys who are in touch with their feminine side or the lads who are man enough to handle it the accentuated waist is all the rage now. Trench coats, winter coats and even long sweaters now look their best when their ‘belted’. A small leather belt or just a tied robe will do the job.
But there are other ways to focus on the waist, of course. We shot some  hipster boys sporting high waisted jeans and bermudas (with their shirts tucked in) looking quite refreshing as well.

Not only on the streets, but on the catwalks too this waisted look was hot. Will you try it?

Streetwear Trend: Graphic Gallore

MiuMiu, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Versus all had the same kind of seventies suits in their fall collections. Suits with bright graphic prints that are now all over the place. Just like the bold and colorful ones Giambattista Valli presented on his runway. A look that takes some guts to pull off. Guts and a strong pair of shoes that keep everything in balance. Velvet ankle shoes perhaps? Or a pair of suede peep toe beauties? Just keep it strong and outspoken, ‘cause this just is not the trend for wall flowers.

Not able to choose between a turtle neck, a bow tie and a shirt? Just wear them all at once. According to our latest streetstyle shots it’s the latest trend. The best dressed street chic men wore thick colorful turtlenecks under their suits and overcoats. While those thin basic black (and even red) turtlenecks popped up from under fully buttoned shirts (Ermenegildo Zegna, Neil Barrett and Roberto Cavalli too introduced their version of the layered turtleneck + shirt look)Not a bad idea at all. Especially on those cold days when just a cotton shirt is not enough. It gives any look an instant sense of style and sophistication. So study our gallery and go try this trend for yourself!

Designers weren´t exactly thrifty with their fabrics this season. Huge, oversize pieces were presented onto the runway and made their way into the streets. Loose sweaters, coats and pants were all true streetstyle hits.
Now don´t think the ladies sporting this trend were size XXL themselves. No, the tiniest frames were hidden from under those creations. Skinny legs popped up from under those big coats and waists were accentuated in the wide legged pants.
Looking larger than life was never this cool. Plus, you´re chances of getting noticed in the streets are.. tripled!
